I just finished a great book about the place of the USA in the current world order and am now halfway through another about how we became the deliciously complex country that we are today. My son's college degree was in Political Science and my wife has an interest in American history, so I thought to recommend these books to them. They were both ebooks but I thought paper a more appropriate medium and turned to ThriftBooks to see what was available. I found both books in great condition reasonably priced. It was like you read my mind.

I was looking for a book of Aesop’s Fables written for children to use in my class of teaching English to adult speakers of other languages. I found exactly the book, offered at a very reasonable price, and delivered to me in less than a week. I was sooooo pleased with my first experience with ThriftBooks and would recommend checking their site before all other booksellers!

I far prefer doing business for my book buying through independent outlets like Thrift books. I have boycotted Amazon for about 8 years now. If the government won't do it's job and enforce anti trust laws then we the people should. I'm glad there are places to get books other than amazon. Keep on keeping on!

I am happy to buy books from ThriftBooks because of pocket-friendly prices and their good condition and the fact that they have books of all genre - sports, memoirs, autobiography, fiction, non-fiction, thriller, espionage, politics, satire, name it. Fast shipping. Packaged w care. The book I ordered looked new even though it was suppose to be used. It had a small smudge on the cover but the rest was in perfect condition. If I try, I can probably wipe off the smudge. No bent pages. No writing anywhere. Dust jacket included. The price was 75% off retail. I’m very impressed w everything about my transaction from beginning to end. I’d definitely recommend thriftbooks and will be using them for all my literary needs in the future.

I never buy books less than “good condition” & I don’t know that I’ve ever gotten a book better than “fair” condition. It’s disappointing & makes me want to look elsewhere especially after the book I received today. I thought it in either “good” or “very good” condition as I always buy my books & it had something like chocolate smeared all of it and it had gone into the pages as well. It was disgusting.

Books have arrived in condition stated. Books are extremely affordable. It is nice to be able to expand my collection without having to spend a whole lot of money. Many of the books are like new. But cost much less than in bookstores. Shipping is free as long as you order $15+ usually delivered within a week. You can search by author or by title to find favorites. Just so much easier to sit at home and sho for your favorites or new choices!

I ordered several children's books. All were listed in "Good Condition". One of them was only worth being thrown in the trash. It is a book with peek-a-boo flaps and was missing one flap and another was completely torn off.
